Unwanted insects arrive at the Farm
Squash Borers and Kudzu Bugs have been spotted at the Farm in the past few days. Protect your squash/zucchini/pumpkin vines against this dreaded vine borer. Cucumbers are lest affected.
The Kudzu Bug kills your legumes/beans/peas by eating the vines (not the legumes themselves) and the whole plant withers and dies.

One of the best ways to keep a bug infestation from your plot is to clear out the weeds picked and get rid of any decayed or dead plant material!
Stay vigilant and plant some Nasturiums!
