Here’s a vegetable that’s easy to grow….is not liked by most bugs… and has no calories! CELERY. One organic Farmer has several plants of it in the corner of her plot…growing very nicely… with little care AND a love for wet, mushy soil! French Celery at the Farm The French have long sung its praises as a medicinal aid…some say it helps alleviate inflammation brought on by arthritis and ancient Chinese medicine credits celery with reducing high blood pressure. It’s high in vitamin C… AND is a little known diuretic. Who Knew? So if you have a section of your plot that tends towards the soggy side…. or you are interested in testing out celery’s medicinal claims to fame… consider this little grown vegetable next time you’re dreaming about your Fall garden!
