The word was sent out Friday morning by the Chatham County Extension Service that this Sunday a frosty cold front will chill Savannah and our environs…perhaps as low as 28 degrees!
So batten down the hatches…cover your outdoor plants…and mulch over or double-layer frost cloth what plants you may have in your plots! 
It would also be prudent to turn off the hose bib to your drip system if you have one. The Farm will be issuing further alerts concerning the overhead irrigation system as is needed.
