What better way to start off 2012 than to start growing more of the food you serve at home! There is nothing to compare to eating a tomato fresh off the vine….or green beans picked that morning … or lettuce so fresh it tastes sweet. Better tasting and healthier too… things the folks who grow their veggies and fruit in their own plot at Skidaway Farms know firsthand.
Now you too can join the Farm by renting a plot for the 2012 season which begins February 1st. Becoming a Farmer is easy with our new online Registration System. Just sign up
for a plot or a raised bed by following the step-by-step instructions at www.skidawayfarms.net where you can pay with a credit card or PayPal account.
The fees are the same as last year:
Capital Contribution $ 50 ( a one-time fee per plot)
Annual Plot Rental $ 100
Annual Raised Bed Rental $ 250
The Farm has close to two dozen open plots available for rent. Each Raised Bed has a drip watering system that can be individually timed. Overhead watering provides the irrigation for all other plots at the Farm. You may choose to install an individual drip system or hand water your plot as well.
